Most of the games are made so that the teacher can reinforce any skill that needs practicing: vocabulary words, braille contractions, math facts, and more! You make up the cards and the games will provide the fun!

• What’s That Number?
Skill Application: Number recognition. One to one correspondence.
Object: Student will read a Braille number and choose the corresponding number of objects to match.

Materials:

  • Braille paper divided into 4 sections with numbers in the top left of each section
  • tray
  • block
  • small objects for counting (buttons, golf tees, counting bears, etc)

To Play:

  • Place the number sheet in the tray (to keep the block from rolling off the table).
  • The student tosses the block onto the sheet
  • The student reads the number in the section where the block rested and places a corresponding number of objects in the section.
  • Clear the number sheet and repeat.
