• Make A Sentence Skill Application: Using braille contractions in every day reading/writing. Object: To be able to use a braille contraction in a sentence.
Materials:
Poker chips with braille word contractions (using clear labels) or contraction cards.
A bag or other container to hold the chips
Brailler and paper
To Play:
The student draws a contraction chip from the bag.
The student must name the contraction and then use it in a sentence, first orally and then on the Brailler.
*Variation: The student draws two or more contraction chips and uses each contraction in one sentence.
