Games U Touch Founder and Owner Cindy Holm, currently is a Teacher of the Visually Impaired serving students from birth to 21. She began making games when the drill cards that she was using with her students got to be boring! She figured that if she was bored, then surely her students had to be bored as well!

She began playing simple games using the drill cards and the small selection of commercial board games that were available for the blind/visually impaired. Then, she discovered that she could use mat board and some tactile materials and make her own games that could be fun and unique! After she was inspired, she began creating games based on the interests of her students. Now, the kids NEVER complain when she gets out the drill cards! After all, they know it’s GAME TIME!

The games that you see here have been inspired by her original games. Each game has been professionally designed, and then the tactile components are added so that the games are both visually appealing as well as tactually accessible. Consideration has been given to complexity, contrast, and interest of textures.

Cindy lives in Maple Valley WA with her husband Ric. Between them they have four children, three of whom have started their own journeys in life.
